Canberra Airport Rental Car

Canberra Airport is in the east of the city and an easy drive to the center if you decide to hire a car.

Of course, Canberra has accommodation options for most budgets so you won’t have too many problems finding a place to stay, but in general the city is one of the more expensive cities in Australia.

Like all airports, Canberra Airport has no shortage of car rental companies competing for the business of incoming passengers so you should have a good amount of choice for your car hire company as well as a solid chance of picking up a bargain.

In terms of getting around, locally you can get to the city to the west, Quaenbean to the south and leave the city to the east.

Further afield, you can get to Bateman’s Bay on coast if you go east and it is a favourite escape for over worked Canberrans. You are also only 4 or 5 hours away from Sydney to the north and Melbourne to the South. North will take you past any number of beautiful coastal towns and south will take you through the hear of New South Wales and Victoria’s rural areas.
