Albury by Hire Car

Albury, sometimes known as Albury-Wodonga (even though they are two separate towns) is located in central New South Wales, west of famous Kosciusko National Park and is a great base from which to explore central NSW by rental car.

Being a relatively large town, there are a few different options for car rental including many of the main players. That means competition is good enough to keep the prices competitive.

In terms of exploring by car, Wodonga lies a short distance to the south, but the real magic in being in this area is its proximity to the beautiful Kosciusko National Park which is home to Australia’s largest mountain – Mount Kosciusko. On the other side of the national park lies Canberaa – Australia’s political capital and home to about 300,000 people. To the north you can get to the famous outback town of Wagga Wagga and to the south west is Bendigo – another well known regional center in Victoria.

If you enjoy regional settings, then Albury is definitely a fine place from which to explore by hire car and see parts of Australia that few visitors (or locals for that matter) ever bother to see.
