Blakehurst is a suburb of Sydney in New South Wales lying to the south of the CBD along the Pacific Highway.
Blakehurst is about 20 minutes drive from the CBD in moderate traffic and is very close to Botany Bay – the original European settlement. While there are a couple of different places to stay in Blakehurst as it is not too far from Sydney Airport, most visitors prefer to stay in the central business district, The Rocks or in one of the airport hotels.
Blakehurst has a couple of car hire options and it is very easy to get out of Sydney along the Pacific Highway. To the south is Wollongong which can be reached in about an hour and if you go north along the Highway you will cross the Harbour Bridge and continue on to Newcastle in about 90 minutes. To the west, you can easily get to the famous Blue Mountains which are a favourite with Sydneysiders for weekends and getaways. Beyond the Blue Mountains are Bathurst and Orange.
