Archerfield by Rental Car

Location: Archerfield > Brisbane > Queensland

Archerfield is an outlying suburb of Brisbane most well known for it’s airport that is used by mainly by smaller aircraft and recreational aviators as well as quite a few commercial flight training schools and freight companies. As you might have guessed, there are also a couple of car rental companies in the Archerfield area too.

Archerfield is not particularly well served by public transport and so car rental might be a good option if you are looking for convenience in this area.

A car puts you within about a 30 minute drive of Brisbane’s CBD depending on the traffic which can be quite bad at peak hour. The CBD has most of the attractions of any city plus a Casino if you enjoy trying your luck. There are also no shortage of places to stay in Brisbane and Archerfield itself even has a few low to mid level budget accommodation options.

Alternatively, Archerfield can be used as  a base for going further afield. The Gold Coast is about an hour away and Sunshine Coast about the same. West of Brisbane is the agricultural area of the Darling Downs and Toowoomba is about 2 hours by car.
