Ashmore by Hire Car

Location: Ashmore > Gold Coast > Queensland

Ashmore is an outlying suburb of Southport on the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland’s south east corner. While it is not too far from Coolangatta Airport, it is far close enough to Southport’s many car rental companies that the prices for car rental are still reasonably competitive.

Ashmore is also a nice place from which to explore Southport, The Gold Coast and New South Wales’ north coast. Ashmore itself is not too far from any number of beaches including Main Beach in Surfer’s Paradise. If mountains and rainforests are more your speed, then the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland is a great place to explore and only about half an hour away by rental car. You are also easy driving distance to the theme parks of the Gold Coast including Warner Brother’s Movie World and Dream World which lay about 20 minutes drive to the north of Ashmore.

If you want to leave the confines of Ashmore and the Gold Coast, Brisbane is only about an hour away along the new highway and you are also within easy driving distance of famous Byron Bay towards the south. Most of the best things to do in this region are no further than an hour from the coast.
