From Albany Airport by Hire Car

Albany Airport is the main aerial transport hub for Albany in Western Australia and is the main way that many visitors arrive in this great little town that lies on the south coast of Western Australia.

The airport itself lies about three miles to the north of the town of Albany and is easily accessible by local transport options. Being a small town however, the transport option may dry up a little when there isn’t a plane for the taxis and mini-buses to meet so it’s a good idea to consider getting a rental car for the duration of your stay.

There are several car hire companies at the airport so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting a car. From there, as mentioned, the town of Albany is only a short drive to the south.

If you want to explore the surrounding region, you can go west towards Perth, north to the Stirling Range National Park or east to the Fitzgerald river National Park – the parks are all within distance for a short and enjoyable day trip.

If you are going further then the Nullabor Plain lies to the east and Perth to the northwest.
