Perth by Hire Car

Perth is the most isolated city in the world and, as such, is the perfect place to hire a car if you really want to see what the city and its surrounds have to offer.

Within the city itself, there are no shortage of places to rent a car with all of the major car hire companies being represented.

Once you have your rental car organised you should decide if you want to stay and explore the city of Perth or escape to the beautiful areas surrounding the city.

Within the city, you can get to the beautiful beaches to the west or explore the lovely Swan River which runs through the heart of Perth.

If you are getting out of the city, you might want to drive an hour or two south down to Margaret River which is home to some exceptional wineries as well as one of the most unspoilt surfing beaches in the world.

Alternatively, if you go north from Perth, you should consider stopping at beautiful Geraldton. To the west, if you drive far enough into the desert, is the gold mining town of Kalgoorlie.
